Hey, I’m Nyssa — welcome to my little corner of the internet.

So who on earth am I? Briefly, I'm a graphic designer who has a passion for all creative outlets including blogging, lifestyle, home life, travel, and more; but let's go back to the beginning!

​

I studied Business Management with a specialism in Marketing (BAHons) at the University of Leicester for three years with the goal to get myself into Marketing. However, life doesn't always work out the way you want. Following university, I gained some experience in a small local company's marketing team before venturing into cosmetics retail at Lush Cosmetics. I spent two and half years there working my way up to a management role before embarking on my first major adventure.

In 2014, I packed up my belongings into two suitcases and booked a one-way ticket to Canada. A one year work permit turned into a second, two year work permit which turned into permanent residency and eventually citizenship. Whilst there, I worked full-time at Sephora in their management team learning an absolute wealth of knowledge about the cosmetics industry. I worked with amazing artists and incredible business leaders in one of the world's fastest growing industries.

However, living abroad by myself definitely took its toll on me. Following covid in 2020 my desire to make my second major change in life started to become stronger and stronger until I had no choice but to listen to it. In 2023 I packed up my belongings once again, sold my house, quit my job and finally booked my one-way ticket back to the UK. I spent those three years of thought processing trying to figure out what needed to change exactly. It wasn't just about moving back home to be closer to my family, it was also about finding a new creative outlet for myself.

I was in the amazing position of having the time, space, and money to change my career. I kickstarted this change in August of 2023 and started to study graphic design and creative writing. Over the next year I studied hard, worked with a mentor and took every opportunity I could to learn more about the software, tools, and industry of graphic design. Fast forward to 2025, I now have my first full-time job as a graphic designer, I have an amazing partner who I can share my life with, and we are about to move into our very first home together. 

​

Since embarking on this new journey, my passions have diversified and my content is following. Follow along as I share my experiences of moving into and decorating a new build, build the lifestyle of my goals, and re-explore my home country through hiking, day trips and more.

​
